My Name is Henriette

Hi! I'm a 6-year-old girl from Bwira, Rwanda, and I love to sing my heart out at school. Unlike most kids in my area, I have a big family, one sister and three brothers. After school, I help my family by carrying water home, it's not that bad, but I really prefer playing ball games.

Life here in Bwira, isn't like you see in those fancy city pictures. It's hard to live here because it's way up in the mountains and it is very poor. Before FH helped us, we mostly drank icky swamp water. So, imagine carrying that for 30 minutes to an hour every day! But it's all changing now thanks to FH Sponsorship. They're teaching grownups in my community ways to grow vegetables, raise animals, and make some money. Plus, they're helping me attend school regularly and getting me the health care I need. It's like a fresh ray of hope for my family and the whole community!

We still have a long truckload of challenges to overcome and we aim to become our own heroes one day. So, remember us in your prayers. Thank you for supporting us and sprinkling a dash of hope in our lives!
