Hi there! I'm a 13-year-old girl from Cotzal, a small farming community in northern Guatemala. My family and I are pretty close - I have one sister and two brothers, and we work together to help our family out. I wash dishes when I get home after school where my favorite subject is mathematics. I also love playing with dolls.
Our life here is simple but it's not always easy. Our dads often have to leave us to go work in coffee farms, especially after the civil war that affected our place years ago. Thankfully, child sponsorship through FH came to our community. This change has let almost all the kiddos here, including me, attend school.
FH also teach our mamas how to take care of our health better. They give us hygiene kits and they even teach our dads new farming techniques. Yep, I can go to school now and I see a brighter future ahead. We still have work to do, but we're hopeful. Say a little prayer for my family and me, will you? Your support means the world to us. Thank you!
