My Name is Susana

Hello! I'm an 8-year-old girl living with my brother and parents in Cotzal, a northern region of Guatemala. I'm blessed with good health and I totally love math at school! After school, I help out at home by sweeping and I also enjoy shooting some hoops!

Life here is simple; many families, like mine, have small farms growing maize and other veggies. Sometimes, our dads have to go away to work at coffee farms. Our history is a bit rough, there was an awful war before I was even born. But, I believe in us! We're strong.

I am so grateful for the child sponsorship program by FH. It's been a game-changer! Almost all of us kids now get to have basic school education.

The FH team is superb! They're teaching our moms about health care and giving us hygiene kits. They're also providing farming tips to our dads. I'm so excited that I can go to school, learn, and dream of a bright future.
