Shelaine Strom

Shelaine Strom has worked with FH Canada as the National Education Lead since 2016. She is a gifted facilitator, speaker, and life coach. She loves designing and leading workshops on the root issues of poverty and healthy ways to help, team building, personality and communication, leadership development, and healthy boundaries. Shelaine’s engaging style and use of storytelling, humour, and life applications draws people into the learning experience. She is a published author with an inspiring personal journey—one she incorporates into her facilitating, preaching, or sharing at retreats and conferences. Shelaine has a gift for creating safe learning environments where people can consider new perspectives and creative solutions.

Mike Janz

Mike has been with FH Canada since 2019, and is already widely appreciated and respected in Atlantic Canada, where he lives and serves as the Senior Director of Philanthropy & Public Engagement. His experiences as a business owner, pastor, non-profit fund development manager and consultant have provided him with well-rounded insights and approaches to walking with Food for the Hungry partners from a variety of backgrounds. He’s been an international high school teacher, first mate on a tall ship, freelance surf journalist, coffee shop and coffee roastery owner, and a pastor! He is a thoughtful theologian and eloquent speaker that will help your congregation see new ways to tackle poverty and impact its own community.

Musu Taylor-Lewis

Musu Taylor-Lewis joined FH in 2023 after over 20 years in the non-profit and public sectors with experience that includes program operations, social research, communications, international cooperation, public relations, fundraising and organizational development. She seeks to live out her conviction for the possibility of a more equitable world by working with the global church and motivating Canadians to be involved in making lasting change. Musu lived in BC for over two decades, where she and her husband raised their family. She has deep roots and a wide community in western Canada and will be working from Aurora, ON where she currently lives.
