Hi, I'm an 8-year-old girl from Bwira, Rwanda, a small farming community tucked away in the mountains. My school life is fun, especially when we learn languages; that's my favourite. At home, I help out a lot, often working alongside our caregiver. Even though our health isn't perfect and our town is one of the poorest around, we make do with what we have. Plus, I love playing ball games!
There was a time when getting clean water was a real struggle, we'd trek for up to an hour just to get swamp water. But things are turning around now, thanks to our partnership with FH Sponsorship. They're giving my family and me a chance to have better lives. I have been able to go to school more regularly and access necessary health care, and it's really making a difference. And they're helping my community too! They're teaching us how to grow our own vegetables, raise animals, and even start little businesses for income. It's a slow journey, but I reckon, in time we'll be self-sufficient and even able to help other communities in Rwanda. Keep me and my family in your prayers as we keep working hard.
