Hello, I am a young boy. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. My health is fair. In school, my favourite subject is story time. When I get home from school, I help my family by carrying water. I enjoy soccer.

I live in Bwira, Rwanda. Our community is the poorest in our district, with the highest level of malnutrition. It is hard to reach because of the winding mountain roads leading into Bwira. When FH began walking with my community, 92.5 percent of my community drank swamp water and only 7.5 percent had access to protected water! It would take about 30 minutes to an hour to haul water to our homes. Most of us are small-plot farmers. FH Sponsorship is helping me and empowering my family. I am now able to go to school regularly and receive the health care I need. I get a chance at a future, and so does my whole community! To overcome our challenges and eventually become a self-sufficient community, local FH staff are working with the adults in my family and community to find the best ways to grow vegetables, raise livestock, and form income-generating groups. Later, we can help other communities in Rwanda do the same. Please pray for me and my family as we work with our community for a sustainable future. Thank you for providing me with support and hope.
