My Name is Amsalu

Hi, I'm a 7-year-old boy from Leka Dulecha, Ethiopia. I've got three brothers and no sisters, and I'm doing pretty good health-wise! School is fun, mostly because I really like math. And after school, I carry water to help out at home. It's hard work, but it makes me feel good! When I'm not at school or carrying water, I love to play soccer with my friends – it’s my favourite game.

Life in Leka Dulecha can be tough sometimes – our schools need some fixing up, clean water isn't easy to come by and health care is a bit tricky. But you know what, it is not all sad. Our community is so full of potential and rich with culture and history. Plus, life is starting to get a bit better here thanks to support from kind-hearted sponsors. They're helping us access cleaner water and a better education! Their love and support give me hope for a brighter future. You know what?
