Hi! I’m 8 years old and I live in Cotzal, a small village in northern Guatemala. I don’t have any brothers or sisters, so I like to draw and play games by myself. My favorite time at school is when we get to draw pictures. After school, I help my family by sweeping the house, and I love to sing while I work!
In my community, many families grow maize and vegetables on small farms, and some of our dads work far away on coffee farms. There was a big fight called a civil war before I was born, but things are getting better now. Thanks to child sponsorship programs, more kids can go to school, and our parents are learning how to stay healthy and farm better. I’m really thankful for the help we get, and I hope for a bright future for myself and my family. Please pray for us!
