My Name is Marta

Hi! I’m nine years old, and I live in Cotzal, Guatemala. I have four brothers and no sisters, so our house is always full of energy! My favorite subject in school is drawing because I love to create pictures of my dreams. After school, I help my family by sweeping the house. We have a small farm where we grow maize and vegetables. It’s tough sometimes because many families are still feeling the effects of the old civil war, but I believe things are getting better.

Thanks to child sponsorship, I can go to school, which makes me really happy! Before, many kids couldn’t attend because they were hungry or their parents couldn’t afford it. Now, with the help of FH staff, we learn about health and hygiene, and our fathers get advice on farming. I’m excited about my future, and I’m grateful for the support that helps me and my family. Please pray for us!
