Hi there! I'm an 11-year-old girl living in the mountainous community of Bunashimolo in the Mbale region of Eastern Uganda. I have a sister and two brothers and we're a strong team. In my area, we mostly speak Lumasaba but some also speak Swahili, Luganda, or English, which is great for me because English is my favorite subject at school! After school, I give my family a helping hand by sweeping our home.
Life where I live can be tough, but the support of my sponsor through FH (Food for the Hungry) and the kindness of their staff gives me hope! They encourage me to study hard and tap into my potential. Plus, they visit and teach us ways to grow our food, care for the ground and keep animals like goats. Thanks to them, healthy food is now a bigger part of our lives!
