Development Lessons from Conflict and Post-Conflict Zones: How to Grow a Country in the Midst of Chaos

FH Canada is partnering with the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for an exciting seminar titled "How to Grow a Country in the Midst of Chaos." The event will be a full afternoon of formal and informal presentations and discussions, focusing on lessons learned from initiating and managing development projects (not emergency aid interventions) within countries that are experiencing conflict, violence, natural disaster or other emergencies.
Schedule of Events:
Panel Presentation & Discussion - 3pm - 4:30pm. Featuring representatives from the Mennonite Central Committee, FH Canada and the Canadian International Development Agency. This event will be moderated by a faculty member of UFV.
Development Cafe: Learning in the Round - 4:30 - 5:30pm. Interact with several organizations in an open-house setting, listen to presentations and engage in small-group discussion. Please contact Darlene Gage (darlene@bccic.ca) with any questions.

Edmonton Missions Fest

Missions Fest Alberta is a three-day family missions conference held annually at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. It is sponsored by Alberta & Saskatchewan congregations from many evangelical denominations.
Missions Fest Alberta's goal is to help individuals find their place where their interests and abilities can best be put to use in the Great Harvest. The weekend provides a weekend when people of all ages come together to be challenged, informed and educated in global mission activity by participating in a variety of experiences.
FH Canada will be one of the 170 exhibits, representing local, national and international organizations, Bible Colleges & Seminaries. Come by and say hello!
