Shawn Plummer - President
Shawn has an 18-year track record in international relief and development including 10 years with a leading organization as Country Director in Mozambique and Eritrea, Regional Director for North Africa and the Middle East, and as Director of Technical Programs. Shawn has gained invaluable program and leadership experience by managing hundreds of staff and multi-million dollar programming activities to assist the most vulnerable globally. During Shawn’s eight years at FH Canada, he has overseen partnership development, the artist advocate program, and Child Sponsorship. Shawn is deeply respected in the non-profit development community, both here in Canada and worldwide. Rooted in his compassion and love for the most vulnerable, Shawn’s broad network of global relationships continue to provide valuable support to his work.
Shawn and his wife, Lindsay, have been married for 16 years and live in Chilliwack, BC. Their four children keep them busy, especially their twin boys who are avid hockey players. Shawn enjoys coaching hockey, water and snow skiing, and spending time with his extended family at the lake.

John Page - Chairman
John Page is a business coach and consultant based in Vancouver. He retired as a director of Risk Management at TELUS Corporation in 2014, has extensive experience as a chartered professional accountant and program leader in financial management, reporting, auditing, sustainability, and governance. His experience also includes leadership of his church and another not for profit organization. He has been a supporter of FH Canada for a number of years and in 2012 joined a vision trip to FH projects in Africa. He became a member of the Board of FH Canada in 2013. He is married with four grown children.
David Blackley - Treasurer
David grew up in Zimbabwe and attended Rhodes University in South Africa. David and his family moved to Canada in 1992 and currently reside in Alberta. David is a Chartered Professional Accountant and an experienced finance executive. He is the Vice President Finance for Lehigh Hanson Materials and has extensive experience leading accounting and financial reporting teams. David has three grown children and one grandchild. David is also keen on history, and together with his wife Alison, has spent time visiting many historical locations in Europe and North America.
Ann lives in Toronto and runs her business as an event and project manager primarily for Christian non-profit organizations, Ann Chow Event & Project Management. Her Master of Arts in Theology from Regent College has been foundational for the many ways she ministers in Toronto, Ontario. As a chaplain through City in Focus, she preaches, teaches, and mentors young professionals in Toronto with the aim of deepening their faith in the midst of daily life. As an elder at Knox Presbyterian Church, Ann helps nurture the spiritual well-being of the congregants and oversees the wonderful connections they enjoy with the community in the urban centre of Toronto.
With nearly 25 years of experience in Management Consulting within the Financial Services industry, as well as healthcare, transport logistics, and manufacturing, Jame has led dozens of successful, multi-million dollar initiatives and has been a key advisor to executive management in many large, multinational organizations. A seasoned expert, Jame has published several peer-reviewed articles and spoken at various trade and business events. Jame is currently the Managing Partner at Alescent but has much more fun spending time with his wonderful wife and children, teaching Sunday School, supporting youth, mentorship, and other ministries through his church.
Robyn Bright is the Senior Manager for Resource Development and Strategic Partnerships with Nutrition International (NI), a global leader in international development for improved nutrition. This role has afforded her the opportunity to craft and implement NI’s global resource mobilization and partnerships strategies, and to work with donors, foundations, implementing partners, and the private sector. Previously, Robyn had the pleasure of leading teams in external relations and resource mobilization with World Vision Canada, Micah Challenge Canada, and the UN peacebuilding program Interpeace. She has also worked with several members of Parliament on issues related to international development.
Frank Devine worked for eight years as a design and project engineer in Vancouver, where he was involved in the design and management of many large development projects around the country. Frank was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and enjoys leading an active lifestyle. He lives in Ottawa with his wife Amber and their two young sons. Frank was introduced to FH Canada and international development in 2007, and had the privilege of serving in Uganda for three months on FH projects. Frank is currently in the MD program at the University of Ottawa, pursuing a career in emergency medicine.
